My apologies for the lack of posts lately, friends. You see... I have spent the last couple weeks dealing with the incompetencies and inefficiencies that one APPARENTLY and INEVITABLY encounters in the 'real world.' I have encountered more problems and stupid people in the last 2 weeks than I thought I would ever encounter in my entire life. My blog, this blog, was deleted by my hosting provider - GoDaddy - for no apparent reason. GoDaddy then proceeded to charge me $200 to resolve the problem and somehow it still wasn't completely resolved as my two latest posts were never recovered. AWESOME-SAUCE. I love it when stuff like this happens.
To make my week better, the trucking company I hired to move my stuff from Miami to New Jersey has been making my life and schedule a living hell - wasting my time and leaving me hanging. My stuff was supposed to arrive this morning... then it got postponed till this afternoon.... now I will be receiving my belongings on Thursday. HOORAY! I love it when people assume I have no life and nothing better to do than sit around and wait for them to call me.
On the bright side, the fever that persisted for a couple days and kept me on bed rest has finally disappeared and I am feeling almost 100% better. Just in time to kick some serious ass.
Ok, now back to more important stuff...
A few friends and I recently joined an online initiative called TRUST30. The initiative is in honor of Ralph Waldo Emerson and the program sends you a new prompt every day for 30 days - a topic on which you are supposed to write a new blog entry. I started the initiative late, but started it nonetheless. Unfortunately the first post I did for the program was deleted, and I was really proud of the stream-of-consciousness prose that I wrote. I know I won't be able to write it again and I refuse to attempt to recreate it. I hope that those of you who read it enjoyed it. I will be continuing starting with Day #2 today (now that I finally have my blog back).
For more information on the initiative please visit the website here: http://ralphwaldoemerson.me/
That's all for now friends. xxx
