It's been an extremely hectic week in the land of bear, in the BEST way possible. Just when I thought I was going to have to bring in 2012 as an unemployed college graduate suffering from extreme poverty and depression the universe was like WAIT A MINUTE, BETCH. Things are finally starting to fall into place for me. Phew!
Anyways, before I get super distracted, here are this week's Friday favorites! Enjoy!!
1. Last Friday was the last Hurricane game of this year's football season. It was a HORRIBLE game, but I bleed orange and green whether I like it or not. This year was an EXTREMELY tough year for our new head coach, Al Golden, but I'm SO EXCITED to see how things are going to pan out next season. FEAR THE TIE.
2. I absolutely adore getting/sending snail mail. Emails and tweets and Facebook messages and texts and voicemails are cool and all, but there's something so special about receiving a hand written note from a friend. I think I'm going to make it my new year's resolution to send more love notes to my loved ones all over the globe.
3. I've mentioned it before, I'll say it again. I'm becoming a small time nail art addict. I finally got to test run my new Konad stamp kit. The result? These awesome argyle theme nails. Super easy, super cheap and a great project for a rainy/sick day. The only down side is that I couldn't do my right hand by myself. YET. I'm determined to get enough practice to master this skill. PEACE OUT SALON MANICURES!
4. The holiday spirit is on steroids and I'm loving it. After 4 years of Florida, it's nice to be in a place where the weather outside is actually frightful, and the fire is super delightful. I used to hate the holidays. The Christmas music used to drive me crazy and the "cheer" everywhere would make me sick. Now I love it. I'm not sure exactly why the switch in my brain happened, but it did and I'm loving it.
That's all for this week, friends. I've been super busy this week with work related things, which is great news. Speaking of work related things - I just started waitressing at a great little Irish Pub on the Lower East Side called One-and-One. Come check it out if you're in the mood for a good beer and a basket of fish and chips.
