My favorite place to shop is in my mom's closet. My mom's got impeccable taste. One of the beautiful things about being just about the same height as her is that I get to borrow/steal her clothes and shoes all the time. I'd say about 30% of my closet comes from mommy-hand-me-downs.
I'm a girlie girl at my core, and retail therapy is one of my die hard obsessions. But going out and spending money on new clothes isn't always an option. Every time I go to my parents' home in Jersey, my mommy always pulls out things from her closet that she doesn't use or want anymore. And it's always FABULOUS stuff. Yay for me!
I have no shame in accepting hand-me-downs. In the picture above I'm wearing my new favorite obsession: a men's JCrew cashmere sweater. My brother bought it a couple weeks ago and accidentally ripped a small hole in the back when trying to remove the tag. He was going to throw it away when I intervened.
WOAH WOAH WOAH. THAT IS A JCREW CASHMERE SWEATER. YOU DON'T JUST THROW THOSE AWAY. GIVE IT HERE, MALFOY.
It's a teeny tiny hole in the back, and not that I care, but my luscious locks easily cover it up. I've practically been living in it for the past two weeks. Good luck getting me out of it, guys.
Stealing clothes from my brother and my dad are my other guilty pleasure.
Sometimes, I secretly root for my dad/brother to accidentally throw a sweater in the dryer. SHHHHHH. Men's sweaters are seriously the most comfortable things in the whole world. And as a single girl, I'll steal them from whomever I can.
What are you favorite hand-me-downs? What's your ultimate comfortwear?
