Fall is the season of all my favorite holidays. I kicked off the holiday cheer yesterday with a super amazingly delicious home cooked meal at my friend Melissa's for Rosh Hashanah. Many thanks to Sassy Sasa and her family for having us! As you can probably guess, I'm not Jewish but some of my best friends in life have been Jewish so I tend to celebrate all the holidays like a good Shiksa should. Shana Tova to Melissa, Jackie, Alex, Nat and their families. (My fave jews.)

My other favorite holidays this season are Diwali and Thanksgiving. And I'm not sure if Halloween counts as a legit holiday, but I'm going to throw that one in there too because I can.

Diwali, the Indian festival of lights, is always a fun time for me because it means spending time with my family and my favorite brown peoples. Not to mention every year the American Desi Association, a non-profit organization started by our crew, throws a massively fun Diwali ball. Click here or click the image below for all the details!!

Thanksgiving. Oh, America, how I love thee for dedicated an entire day to football, parades, beer, gluttony and more gluttony. I love to cook and bake, and I love to watch football so sometimes I feel like Thanksgiving was made just for me. Hands down, the best Thanksgiving I ever had, was in Argentina. Ironic, no? Me and my girls spent all day cooking a serious FEAST for about 25 of our friends. We didn't have enough room on the giant table for all the food.

And that was just dinner. After dinner we had like 6 desserts and 4 tubs of ice cream. But don't worry. We had a massive dance party after the meal settled to work off all those calories.

It was honestly the best Thanksgiving I have ever had. Good food, good friends, good times. I miss my study abroad friends too much, and I really don't know how I will ever top this Thanksgiving. But I hope that one day we can all meet up and do this again for nostalgia's sake. Thanks for all that giving, friends.

OK. So. Backtracking slightly in my calendar. Let's check out Halloween. This year I am even more stoked for Halloween because I am finally going back to Miami to see most of my beloveds!! I haven't been back since graduation and I haven't seen some of my best friends since May, so I'm literally peeing my pants with excitement.

Every year herds of South Floridians make a trip to Key West on Halloween weekend for Fantasy Fest. If you don't know what Fantasy Fest is, SHAME ON YOU. But click this link and educate yourself.

Last year I had the pleasure of going with friends and plans are in the works for maybe going again this year. Oh boise. I love Halloween in South Florida. The weather's nice so you can dress skanky and get away with it. I mean... well, it's true. This year I've got some particularly hilarious costumes planned, but here are some photos from last year's shenanigans.

I'm so excited that it's my favorite holiday season. This year is going to be fantastic and I can't wait to share my reports with you all!

I hope you enjoyed all the pictures and shout outs. Leave a comment with some of your favorite holidays! If you’re looking for more giggles and trinkets of joy, feel free to check out my twitter @npamani or my tumblr, The Daily QuirCk.
