This is my 100th blog post. Holy. Freaking. Crap.
That's a lot of writing, mang. I guess time flies when you're typing at 130 words per minute....
Big love and thanks to those of you who have been with me from the start of my blogventure. It's been an honor to have so many of you travel with me down this road as I explored my way from ranting about things I hate in Times Square, through lists of Friday Favorites, and finally to motivational talks with myself/everyone/nobody in particular. And to those of you who have recently hopped on to the Little Bear in a Big World bandwagon - you're pretty freaking swell too! Love love love!
So I want to take a moment to do something I don't think I've ever done here before - promote my services and myself.
I've got unfaltering love for the written word, the smell of old books, and all things related to the interwebs. Although I've spent the past couple years hopping around the media industry, my heart has always found its way back to being a wordsmith, editor, strategist, and event planner.
Most of you know I conducted my training at the University of Miami and received a Bachelor's degree in journalism and international studies. In reality, I took every class I could get my hands on (and I do mean every class: from Writing and Reporting to U.S. Drug Policy to the Evolution of Jazz) and consider myself a tri-lingual, multimedia specialist, with a self-declared minor in badassery.
Recently I've been working at a boutique digital agency located in the heart of Little Italy as a marketing and strategic communications assistant. What some of you may NOT know, is that I've got a couple side projects simmering on my stove.
The first project has been my baby for some time now, but it's suddenly all coming to life. I've joined forces with a very dear friend and brilliant graphic designer, Laura, and Media OSA is well on its way to officially launching! We're gonna be your One-Stop Agency (see what we did there?) for all design and marketing needs and you're gonna love it. Whether you’re a growing business, solo-preneur, or just looking for a home on the web, we’ve got you covered from start to finish. For all projects, big or small, we guarantee crafty content and distinctive design on time.
The second project is actually a consolidation of several mini projects. It's no secret that I'm a girl with many passions and many potentially 'brilliant' ideas. I've been trying to figure out the best way to explore all those things swirling around inside my head and make some money doing it? Enter Fiverr. Thank goodness. I've created a series of Fiverr gigs ranging from editing documents, playing virtual tour guide in both Manhattan and Buenos Aires, and making productive use of my mild OCD tendencies. I'm making more gigs soon, but this is plenty for me to handle for now. If you or someone you know needs any of these services, be sure to click around up nyah and send me a message! I'd love to help you guys in any way I can, and for five bucks I think that's a freaking steal. If you have a bigger project you need help on, just shoot me an email [email@example.com] and I'd be happy to discuss the details with you!
Ok. Phew. End self promotion. Not going to lie, I feel a bit dirty after writing all that out.
For the first time in my life I feel really comfortable and confident with my skill set. I have to admit, a lot of it is thanks to you guys and all the kind words of encouragement and support I have received because of this blog. I owe you guys more than I will ever be able to repay, but let me start by sending massive amounts of gratitude, appreciation and love in your direction!! *sending*
I cannot wait to see where the next 100 posts will take me, but I know that with you guys by my side... I've got this shit.
Cupcake flavored kisses, xx Nikbear
